How to make teams effective
People in every workplace talk about building the team, working as a team, and my team, but few understand how to create the experience of teamwork or how to develop an effective team, in the broadest sense, is a result of feeling part of something larger than you. It has a lot to do with your understanding of the mission or objective of your organization.
In a team-oriented environment, you contribute to the overall success of the organization. You work with fellow members of the organization to produce these results. Even though you have a specific job function and you belong to a specific department, you are unified with other organization members to accomplish the over objectives. The bigger picture drives your action; you function exists to serve the bigger picture.
Therefore, executives, managers, and organization staff members universally explore ways to improve business results and profitability. Many vies team-based, horizontal organization structure as the best design for involving all employees in creating business success.
Successful team building requires attention to each of the following 12 Cs.
Clear expectations; context; commitment; competence; charter; control; collaboration; communication; creative innovation; consequences; coordination; cultural change.

Kirsten Prout Meets Halloween
When Kirsten Prout 's agent suggested she take a role in MTV's My Super Psycho, the Twilight: Eclipse actress says she thought, "Are you kidding?" But once Prout read the script, she loved it. "You can take this material that's geared to a certain demographic, but give it depth, smarten it up, make it fun, and also give it heart," Prout tells us. "It's got that John Hughes feeling, but it's also got that Halloween vibe."
The TV movie, premiering Oct. 22 at on MTV, is a sequel to last year's flick about a roller-rink massacre during a Sweet 16 party. Prout, 20, stars as Alex, whose world is shaken up when Skye, the half sister Alex never knew she had, comes to town. Alex is even more shocked when she learns that Skye is the daughter of Charlie Rotter, the serial killer from the first film.
Kirsten Prout says. "When Skye comes to town, all her anxiety that she usually feels just spikes. It's hard for her to cope at first, but she's also excited she has a sister now — someone to confide in. And perhaps she has a genuine friend. And is it just coincidence that the TV movie sounds a lot like MTV's reality series My Super Sweet 16, which follows rich kids as they plan their over-the-top Sweet 16 parties? "If anyone watches the show, you know you're envious of those girls, but at the same time you want them to get what's coming to them," Prout says."These kids just need a good scare and realize how things aren't that important. The film does that to the extreme."

Charmed Star Replaces Weaver for Ghostbusters Game

Milano, the star of CHARMED, was flattered to be asked to join the franchise. For the game, the Barrett role was re-written as Dr. Ilyssa Selwyn, the genius guest curator at the Natural History Museum's new "World of Gozer" exhibit. The game follows Ghostbuster recruits as they battle classic franchise monsters like the giant Stay Puft Marshmellow Man and Gozer, the god of destruction. Atari will publish the game on June 16th for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Wii and PC. Aykroyd, Ramis, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts are all reprising their roles.
